On Hausdorff-like metrics for fuzzy sets

چکیده

In (Chaudhuri and Rosenfeld, 1996), metrics were developed for fuzzy sets u and v defined on the same support set S. These metrics are based on applying the Hausdorff metric to pairs of membership level sets (u 1 ( [ tk, 1 ] ), v1 ( [ tk, 1 ] ) ), where tk E [0, 1] is a (possible) membership value of u or v. The metrics of (Chaudhuri and Rosenfeld, 1996) give nice comparisons of fuzzy sets by measuring the differences in their images, but suffer the undesirable restriction that fuzzy sets so compared must have the same maximum values. In the current paper, we show how the metrics of (Chaudhuri and Rosenfeld, 1996) may be modified so as to remove this restriction while preserving some of the "feel" of the metrics described in (Chaudhuri and Rosenfeld, 1996). We also present an algorithm for computing our metric that runs in O(mn) time for a 2-dimensional digital picture of n pixels on which fuzzy sets are allowed m distinct membership values. © 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.

Corrigenda to "On Hausdorff-like metrics for fuzzy sets" [Pattern Recognition Lettes Vol. 18, (1997) 115-118]

Our paper was motivated by (Chaudhuri and Rosenfeld, 1996), a paper in which several metrics related to the Hausdorff metric are given for fuzzy sets defined on the same nonempty support set S. The first metric given in (Chaudhuri and Rosenfeld, 1996), denoted F 0 in our paper, requires all the fuzzy sets considered by F 0 to have the same maximum value. Chaudhuri and Rosenfeld (1996) then modi...

An identification theorem for the completion of the Hausdorff fuzzy metric

We prove that given a fuzzy metric space (in the sense of Kramosil and Michalek), the completion of its Hausdorff fuzzy metric space is isometric to the Hausdorff fuzzy metric space of its completion, when the Hausdorff fuzzy metrics are defined on the respective collections of non-empty closed subsets. As a consequence, we deduce the corresponding result for metric spaces by using the standard...

A Framework for Optimal Attribute Evaluation and Selection in Hesitant Fuzzy Environment Based on Enhanced Ordered Weighted Entropy Approach for Medical Dataset

Background: In this paper, a generic hesitant fuzzy set (HFS) model for clustering various ECG beats according to weights of attributes is proposed. A comprehensive review of the electrocardiogram signal classification and segmentation methodologies indicates that algorithms which are able to effectively handle the nonstationary and uncertainty of the signals should be used for ECG analysis. Hutchinson-Barnsley Operator in Intuitionistic Fuzzy Metric Spaces

The main purpose of this paper is to prove the intuitionistic fuzzy contraction properties of the Hutchinson-Barnsley operator on the intuitionistic fuzzy hyperspace with respect to the Hausdorff intuitionistic fuzzy metrics. Also we discuss about the relationships between the Hausdorff intuitionistic fuzzy metrics on the intuitionistic fuzzy hyperspaces. Our theorems generalize and extend some...

Gromov-Hausdorff convergence of non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces

We introduce the notion of the Gromov-Hausdorff fuzzy distance between two non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces (in the sense of Kramosil and Michalek). Basic properties involving convergence and the fuzzy version of the completeness theorem are presented. We show that the topological properties induced by the classic Gromov-Hausdorff distance on metric spaces can be deduced from our approach.
